Greeting brothers and sisters. Peace be unto you. I'm currently a student at College of Charleston, studying English, African American Studies, and Secondary Education. My primary interest in school is African American Literature, which I've had the pleasure to study under Dr. Conseula Francis. I'm deeply interested in political activism, promoting peace and understanding, ending poverty and hunger, and particularly destroying racism and other forms of prejudice from our hearts and the social structure of the world. I'm one of the founding members of a new community organization called ALL POWER TO THE PEOPLE, committed to fighting racism, sexism, poverty, police brutality, and other forms of injustice and oppression in the Charleston area. I'm also active in a number of progressive campus organizations such as the Black Student Union, the Diversity Coalition, the National Organization for Women, Street Sweepers, and others. I try to live my life as a freedom fighter in the long tradition of Frederick Douglass, Harriet Tubman, Sojourner Truth, John Brown, Mohandas Gandhi, Martin Luther King Jr., Malcolm X, James Baldwin, Cesar Chavez, Huey P. Newton, Angela Davis, and countless others. I'm a writer and an avid reader. I love music, particularly conscious hip hop. I am a lover of all people, of all colors, of all cultures, from all parts of this globe. We truly are one big human family. It's about damn time we started treating each othat that way.
